Carolina Garcia-Umaña is a seasoned professional in environmental policy and strategic communications, currently serving as a Program Associate at the U.S. Energy Foundation since July 2025. Previously, Carolina worked as an Environmental Specialist III at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, managing grants for the Springs and Watershed Restoration Program. Carolina's experience includes serving as an Environmental Justice Climate Equity Fellow with MobilizeGreen, where a network of over 20 climate justice stakeholders was developed, and leading the Team Enough Florida program for Brady, focusing on youth advocacy for gun violence prevention. Carolina's contributions also extend to policy work with March For Our Lives and her role as a guest lecturer at the University of Arizona. Carolina holds dual bachelor's degrees in Environmental Science and Policy and Women's Studies from Florida State University, along with a high school diploma and an Advanced International Certificate of Education from St. Augustine High School.
