Alex Alborzfard has a diverse work experience in the fields of information security, technology consulting, and academia. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Security/Systems Administrator at Saint Peter's Healthcare System. From 2012 to 2013, they served as a Senior Information Security Analyst at BioClinica, followed by a role as a Senior Consultant at Comcast in 2013-2014. In 2014-2015, they worked as a Consultant in the Information Technology group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
From 2018 to 2021, Alborzfard held various adjunct faculty positions at Salem Community College, Monmouth University, and Rider University. In 2015-2021, they worked as a Network/Information Security Manager at Parx Casino, where they developed and managed an enterprise information security and risk management program. They were responsible for implementing and managing various security controls and were involved in current projects related to SIEM, EDR, IRM, Secure Wireless, GDPR/Data Privacy.
More recently, Alborzfard joined The Enrollment Management Association as a Director of Information Systems Security in 2021, overseeing the organization's information systems security initiatives. And in 2023, they joined Aphinia as a Member, contributing to the company's objectives in an undefined role.
Alex Alborzfard completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Assurance from Norwich University from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Management Information Systems from Saint Joseph's University from 1987 to 1991.
Alex Alborzfard has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field.
