Alan Yarborough

Alan Yarborough is an experienced professional in government relations and advocacy, currently serving as the Associate Director of Government Relations for The Episcopal Church since September 2016. In this role, Alan supports the strategic vision for advocating over 650 resolutions, guiding policy advisors, and addressing critical issues such as Indigenous rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and racial justice. Previous positions include Church Relations Officer and Communications Coordinator, where responsibilities encompassed outreach, civic engagement, and managing the Episcopal Public Policy Network. Alan also has international experience as a Missionary in Haiti, holds a Master’s degree from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Clemson University.
