Emily Hopkins

Alternate Deputy To General Convention In 2024 at The Episcopal Diocese of California

Emily Hopkins is an experienced professional and volunteer with a strong focus on community engagement and environmental advocacy. Currently serving as an Episcopal Election Activator for The Episcopal Church and convening the Creation Care Caucus, Hopkins is dedicated to promoting non-partisan election efforts and preparing for the upcoming General Convention. As the Network Leader for Creation Care in Province VIII and an Alternate Deputy to the General Convention in 2024 for the Episcopal Diocese of California, Emily actively participates in the governance of the Episcopal Church. In addition to these roles, Hopkins volunteers as a Cat Adoption Counselor and as a member of organizations such as GREENFAITH and Citizens' Climate Lobby, where Emily advocates for climate solutions and social justice. A retired Navy public affairs officer, Emily holds a Master's degree in Communication and a Bachelor's in English, showcasing a strong educational background to support their advocacy work.
