Marcello Laganaro

Marcello Laganaro is a skilled professional with a background in environmental science and chemistry, currently serving as a Scientific Officer in the Novel Foods, Nutrition and Food Innovation Unit at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) since June 2021. Previously, Marcello held various positions, including acting Scientific Officer and Scientific Project Manager at EFSA, and contributed to the European Chemicals Agency as a Regulatory and Scientific Support professional. Early career experience includes roles at BlueBenu as a Process Engineer and R&D Project Manager, alongside research fellowships at both Aalborg University and the University of Ioannina in relation to the Mat4treaT project.
