Vittoria Flamini serves as the Governance and Performance Coordinator and Models Architect at the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) since November 2020. Flamini is also a Visiting Research Professor and has held various academic positions at New York University since July 2013, including Industry Associate Professor and Industry Assistant Professor, focusing on cardiovascular biomechanics and medical devices. Additional responsibilities include serving as Faculty Advisor of the local Society of Women Engineers and as Second Alternate Senator of the NYU Academic Senate. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at NYU-Poly and a role as Contract Lecturer at Dublin City University. Flamini completed a PhD in Bioengineering at Dublin City University and holds MSc and BEng degrees in Medical Engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
