Jodi Mailander Farrell

Jodi Mailander Farrell is an accomplished development professional currently serving as Vice President of Development at The Everglades Foundation since November 2020, leading a fundraising team dedicated to the mission of restoring and protecting America's Everglades. Previously, Jodi held the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Miami from January 2019 to November 2021, teaching Writing for the Digital Age. Jodi has a rich background in journalism, with significant roles at VISIT FLORIDA as a Travel Correspondent and at Miami Herald Media Company as a food writer and reporter, where recognition was received for contributions to education reporting and systemic change in special education. Additionally, Jodi served as Assistant Vice President of Advancement at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, where leadership was provided for programming and community development, and has extensive freelance writing experience across various prestigious publications. Education was completed at Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Mass Communications.
