Des Kennedy is an accomplished artistic leader and director with extensive experience in the theater industry. Currently serving as the Artistic Director and Co-CEO at The Everyman in Cork since June 2024, Kennedy has also held various prominent roles, including International Associate Director for "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" since January 2015. Notable directing positions include "Good Vibrations" at the Irish Arts Center and The Lyric Theatre, as well as "Piaf" at the Gate Theatre. Kennedy's creative direction for ArtsEkta's "Little Amal" and short film direction for BBC, "The Girl at the Window," during the COVID-19 lockdown further demonstrate versatility in the field. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Queen's University Belfast and an Associate's degree in International Business from King's College.
