Joan Buades Mir

Joan Buades Mir is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in purchasing and procurement within the hospitality sector. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Purchasing at The Excellence Collection since February 2017, Joan oversees purchasing and warehouse teams across three countries, negotiates annual agreements with suppliers, and has implemented operational procedures for increased efficiency, particularly during COVID-19. Previous roles include Caribbean Director of Purchasing, where responsibilities included leading purchasing teams and managing warehouse operations for luxury properties, and Purchasing Manager, focusing on local purchases and supplier agreements in Jamaica. Joan holds a Licenciatura in Historia from Universitat de les Illes Balears, completed in January 2012.
