Test Development Engineer at The Exploration Company

Bhavraj Thethy has a diverse range of work experience in the field of aerospace engineering. Bhavraj'smost recent role was as a Test Development Engineer at The Exploration Company, where they focused on developing and improving test infrastructure for liquid rockets. Prior to that, they worked as a Propulsion R&D Engineer at NextAero, where they contributed to the development of high-pressure cryogenic enabled test stands for liquid rockets.

Bhavraj also has extensive experience at Monash University, where they completed their PhD in Aerospace and Combustion research. During their time there, they worked on a project focusing on transient shock waves in detonation engines and taught undergraduate courses in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and aircraft performance as a Teaching Associate. Bhavraj also served as a Senior Student Project Officer, where they worked on the development and promotion of research initiatives for undergraduate students.

In addition, Bhavraj gained international experience as a Visiting Research Assistant at Technische Universität Berlin, where they worked on pressure-gain combustion research. Bhavraj also interned at QinetiQ Australia as an Aerospace Engineering Intern, focusing on military helicopters.

Before their academic and professional career in aerospace engineering, Bhavraj worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Kumon Institute of Education, supporting students in English and Mathematics.

Bhavraj Thethy pursued their education with a focus on aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical engineering. Bhavraj'seducation history includes a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering & Bachelor of Science degree obtained from Monash University, from the years 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed the Western Australian Certificate of Education at Churchlands Senior High School during the period of 2007 to 2011.

Bhavraj continued their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from Monash University in the years 2016 to 2022. Bhavraj also engaged in a temporary research opportunity, pursuing an additional Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the same field at the Technische Universität Berlin from 2019 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Bhavraj Thethy has acquired additional certifications to enhance their skill set. Bhavraj obtained The MathWorks' Simulink for System and Algorithm Modeling certification in August 2014. Furthermore, in May 2014, they achieved the SolidWorks Associate - Mechanical Design certification offered by Dassault Systèmes.
