Sebastien Reichstadt has a wealth of experience in the field of propulsion systems. Sebastien began their career in 2001 as an Engineering Student at SNECMA Moteurs. In 2003, they moved to ONERA, where they served as a Research Engineer on dual-mode ramjet and a PHD Student. In 2008, they joined SNECMA as an Engine System Expert, Vulcain 2.1 Propulsion System Functional Manager, Upper Stage Engine Design Engineer, Health Monitoring System (HMS) Delivery Manager, First Stage Engine Design Engineer, and Propulsion System Engineer. In 2016, they moved to ArianeGroup, where they served as a Liquid Propulsion System Technological Coordinator, Propulsive System Expert, and Vulcain 2.1 Propulsion System Functional Manager. In 2019, they joined Reaction Engines as a Rocket SME & Technology Coordinator. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Co-Founder & Lead Propulsion System of The Exploration Company.

Sebastien Reichstadt received their Master of Science (MSc) degree from Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aéronautiques et de Construction Automobile in 2003, having studied Aeronautics, Propulsion, and Fluid Mechanics. In 2002 and 2003, they also obtained a Master of Advanced Studies from Pierre and Marie Curie University, focusing on Combustion, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Acoustics. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour in 2007, specializing in Energetics and Fluid Mechanics.
