Patty Elkus is an accomplished leader in ocean advocacy and environmental initiatives, currently serving as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at The International SeaKeepers Society since January 2006. In addition to various roles within the organization, including Founding Chair of "Women in Yachting and Ocean Advocacy" and Chairperson for significant awards and honorary committees, Patty Elkus holds board positions with the Sonoma International Film Festival and the San Diego International Film Festival, and provides advisory support for reefline Miami and TBA21 Academy. Educational qualifications include attendance at San Francisco State University and the Gemological Institute of America. Patty Elkus is also an active member of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Directors' Council, advocating for research and outreach programs.
