Karlayren Rojo

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at The Family Guidance and Therapy Center

My name is Karlayren Rojo (pronounced: Karla - ee- ren Row - ho) and my preferred pronouns are she, her (ella). I am a bilingual and biliterate registered associate professional clinical counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and Spanish speaking adults. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate through challenges by providing a warm, non-judgmental space for growth, healing, and freedom.

I obtained my Master of Arts degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in school and clinical counseling, from Chapman University in Orange, CA. My training and experience primarily comes from working in schools and community-based settings. I utilize a multitude of therapeutic modalities and interventions for a person-centered approach; such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, and play therapy. In the past I have worked with individuals in addressing anxious/depressive/stress-related symptoms, and processing trauma derived from domestic violence, acculturation, and the challenges of growing up in a fast-paced world.

It is brave to ask for help and to find a way to reach out through the pain, fear, and shame that you’ve been taught to feel. I look forward to collaborating with you through your healing journey.
