Mayra Roman-Aguilar

Mayra Roman-Aguilar is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. She has 14 years of experience working in the social service field, most of which has been providing in-home therapy services and parenting education.

She enjoys working with individuals, couples and families to navigate the challenges of life. Areas of interest include depression, anxiety, trauma, port partum depression, self-esteem, parenting skills and couples’ communication. Mayra is a bilingual and bilateral English and Spanish Therapist.

Mayra has an eclectic approach, utilizing various theoretical approaches. Additionally, she has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. These approaches are research-based modalities that show symptom reductions and improve interpersonal functioning.
