Yana Bachynsky

Yana Bachynsky is currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at The Family Guidance and Therapy Center. Yana has previously worked as a Youth in Transition Program Coordinator at South Bay Community Services, an Adolescent Intake Coordinator at MCALISTER INSTITUTE FOR TREATMENT & EDUCATION, INC., and as an MFT Trainee in the Breaking Cycles program at San Diego Youth Services.

Bachynsky has experience in developing and supervising teams of staff, leading team meetings, collaborating with clinical teams to establish trauma-informed approaches to mental health needs, chairing client-centered committees, interviewing and training staff, organizing TAY community events, supporting case managers in overseeing treatment plans, managing crisis situations, providing resources and advocacy for clients, conducting file and ETO reviews for audits, auditing agencies with CCQA associate, creating and delivering training materials.

Yana Bachynsky has a Master's degree in Counseling from San Diego State University, with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling. Yana also has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Denver in Psychology (major)/Religious Studies (minor)/Communications (minor). In addition, Yana is certified by the Board Of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and by South Bay Community Services as a CA Certified Domestic Violence Counselor.

They work with Cindy Richardson - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Mayra Roman-Aguilar - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Karlayren Rojo - Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. Their manager is Maia Hannah Bondy, Director of Mental Health, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
