The Family Institute
Grace Schmidt is a Post-Graduate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Fellow at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, with prior experience as a Counseling Intern at Webster University and a Practicum Student at Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, where in-school interventions for social emotional needs were provided. Grace has a background in research, having assisted in projects at The University of Kansas, including studies on the effects of blue light on sleep and depression in young adults and a federally-funded project on family adversity and children's well-being. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of Kansas. Additional roles included positions as House Manager for Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority and Hostess at Basil Leaf Cafe.
