Amy (Ricedorf) Lyon is an experienced professional committed to community impact, currently serving as the Director of Community Impact at the United Way of Southeast Mississippi since July 2022. In this role, Amy oversees funds distribution, agency support, community research, and collaboration efforts across multiple counties. Previous positions include Group Fitness Instructor at The Family YMCA, Program Coordinator for Supportive Services for Veteran Families at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources, and Clinician for Intensive Outpatient services. Amy's academic background includes a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Towson University. Additionally, Amy has held various roles in academic advising and supporting at-risk students at Lebanon Valley College and Shippensburg University.

The Family YMCA is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charitable organization serving the Los Alamos and Española communities. Our mission is to build individual, family, and community strength by focusing on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility; and to ensure access to all in need. No one is turned away at our Y due to inability to pay. As a 501c3 charity, The Family YMCA is centered on philanthropic goals of social well-being. We believe in serving the public interest and common good. Our services include youth and family healthy living and active lifestyle programs (recreation, fitness, and health education programs); after school and summer camp family support; and positive youth development programs for teens in Los Alamos and Española, which includes youth employment programs. Nearly half of those we serve are through personal development programs outside of health memberships.
