Dan Schaefer

Dan Schaefer has a strong background in software development and technical leadership. Dan most recently worked as a Software Developer Lead at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, where they were responsible for establishing programming languages, tools, and frameworks for the Transforming Tax Collections initiative. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at BrightEdge, where they focused on optimizing the effectiveness of the SEO Autopilot product. Dan also worked as a Technical Team Lead at OnShift, leading a team of Software Engineers in the adoption of gRPC microservices and making decisions on data models and testing approaches. Additionally, they have experience in DevOps, systems engineering, and web application development from their previous roles at OnShift, Performance Administration Corp., High Fidelity, Coffee & Power, Logic Partners Inc, Kent State University - ResNet, and Ashland University.

Dan Schaefer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Kent State University between 2003 and 2005. Dan previously studied Computer Science at Ashland University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to their college education, Dan attended Jefferson Area High School from 1997 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, Dan obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in September 2023. Dan also holds the Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist certification from Scaled Agile, Inc.
