Brian Gowen is a Capital Markets Trading Principal in Policy & Money Market Analysis at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, responsible for leading the coverage of the federal funds market and providing critical policy analysis for FOMC policymakers. With prior experience as a Risk & Analytics Senior Associate evaluating financial safety and soundness, as well as roles in financial reporting at the Federal Reserve, Brian brings a strong analytical background to monetary policy implementation. An independent research assistant for a Harvard Senior Fellow, Brian holds a Master of Public Administration in International Economic Policy and Management from Columbia University and a summa cum laude BA in Economics & Global Studies from Bryant University.
