Markus Günnewig

Markus Günnewig has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in finance and controlling. Markus is currently working as the CFO at The Female Company GmbH since March 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of Finance at the same company from September 2022 to February 2023. Before joining The Female Company, Markus worked at Babbel from 2015 to 2022, where they held various roles including Head of Controlling from March 2019 to September 2022, Senior Controller from November 2016 to February 2019, and Controller from June 2015 to October 2016. Prior to their time at Babbel, Markus worked at Cornelsen Verlag GmbH as a Controller from June 2014 to June 2015, and as a Junior-Controller from April 2013 to May 2014.

Markus Günnewig began their education in 2011 at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, where they studied Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Economics) until 2013. Markus then pursued further education at FH Münster, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften (Economics). Additionally, Markus completed an apprenticeship in Banking at Kreissparkasse Wiedenbrück.
