Marcus Ryder is currently the CEO of The Film and TV Charity, focusing on supporting workers in the film, television, and cinema sector and addressing issues related to financial hardship, mental health, and physical health. Marcus also serves as the Chairperson of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and as the Head of External Consultancies at Birmingham City University's Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity. Marcus has an extensive background in media, including roles at Caixin Global, China Global Television Network, and the BBC. With a passion for increasing diversity in the TV industry, Marcus has held leadership positions at the Royal Television Society and has lectured at the University of Sussex.
