James London

James London is an experienced professional in financial crime and legal advisory roles. Currently serving as a Manager in the Financial Crime Advisory Team at the Financial Conduct Authority since October 2020, James focuses on reforming the SARs regime and implementing the UK's Economic Crime Plan. With a long-standing career at the Financial Conduct Authority, James previously managed financial crime policy, overseeing areas such as anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. Additionally, James holds the position of Army Reserve Officer (Major) with the Army Legal Service and has been a Councillor for Sevenoaks District Council since May 1995. Formerly, James held a deputy head role at the Home Office, addressing terrorist finance within the financial services sector. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hull, a Master of Laws from Queen Mary University of London, and completion of the Solicitors Finals Examination at the College of Law.
