Kate Blatchford-Hick is an esteemed professional with extensive experience in regulatory and competition policy roles. Currently serving as the Head of Consumer Investments Policy and Market Analysis and previously as the Head of Competition Policy at the Financial Conduct Authority since October 2015, Kate has also held managerial and technical specialist positions within the organization. Prior experience includes an Assistant Director role at the Competition and Markets Authority and an Analyst position at the Office of Fair Trading. Kate began her career as a Research Analyst at the Institute for Government. Academically, Kate holds an MSc in Public Management and Governance from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Lawyers from King's College London, and a degree in History with a focus on Economic History from The University of Manchester.
