Financial Conduct Authority
Neil Whalley has extensive experience in auditing and financial supervision, currently serving as the Head of Department for Retail Banking Supervision and Internal Audit at the Financial Conduct Authority since November 2011. Whalley has held various roles within the organization, including Internal Audit Manager and Senior Associate, providing assurance and challenge to senior management regarding internal controls. Prior to this, Whalley worked at the Audit Commission from July 2004 to January 2012 as a Principal Auditor and Trainee Auditor, leading audit teams for public sector clients. Whalley holds a BA (Hons) in Law and Business Studies from the University of Warwick, earned between 1999 and 2002.
