Richard Wilson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public policy and consumer protection within the financial services sector. Currently serving as Manager of Public Policy Priorities at the Financial Conduct Authority since July 2015, Richard works to align organizational strategies with upcoming political developments, particularly concerning the 2024 General Election. Previously, Richard held key positions within the FCA, including managerial roles focused on Consumer Duty policy and the Consumer Investments Sector Team, as well as technical specialist roles in pensions policy. Prior to the FCA, Richard led policy initiatives for the National Association of Pension Funds and served as a Local Councillor, where leadership and innovative policy development were paramount. Richard's career began with significant contributions to the Association of British Insurers and Help the Aged on various consumer and pension-related issues. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and History from The University of Salford.
