Anne Whitaker

Anne Whitaker is an experienced financial professional with a distinguished career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Non Executive/Senior Adviser at the Financial Reporting Council since September 2016, Anne has also contributed to various organizations in leadership roles, including as a Non Executive Director at Markel International from October 2013 to April 2024, and at Novuna and Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC from April 2016 to September 2022. Additionally, Anne has volunteer experience as a finance and development manager at YourStory Ltd since 2008. Previously, Anne held positions such as Board Member at The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority from January 2013 to January 2018 and Non-Executive Director at Barts Health NHS Trust from 2012 to March 2016. Anne's career began at Ernst & Young (London) in 1979, where Anne advanced to audit partner by 1996. Anne holds an MA in Mathematics from the University of Oxford and is a graduate of Manchester High School for Girls.
