Susan Currie is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and policy development. Currently serving as Special Projects Director at the Financial Reporting Council since 2009, Susan has held various roles, including Project Director and Chief of Staff, providing critical support to the CEO and the Executive Committee while overseeing complaints reviews. Prior to this, Susan worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 1996 to 2008 as Senior Manager in Compliance, focusing on auditor independence, data protection, and ethics, in addition to managing staff. Educationally, Susan holds an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford and has further qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators.

Financial Reporting Council
The FRC is the UK's independent regulator serving the public interest by setting high standards of corporate governance, reporting and audit and by holding to account those responsible for delivering them. We set the UK Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes as well as UK standards for accounting, auditing and actuarial work. We represent UK interests in international standard-setting. We also monitor and take action to promote the quality of corporate reporting and auditing. We operate independent disciplinary arrangements for accountants and actuaries; and oversee the regulatory activities of the accountancy and actuarial professional bodies.
