Lauren Palmor

Associate Curator Of American Art at The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco

Lauren Palmor is an accomplished art professional with extensive experience in American art curation. Since March 2015, Lauren has served in various roles at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, culminating in the position of Associate Curator of American Art. Prior to this, Lauren was a Dissertation Research Fellow at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library, and a Center for American Art Summer Fellow at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Additional experience includes working as a Collections and Exhibitions Assistant at Frye Art Museum and participating in the Mellon Institute in Technical Art History at New York University. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Washington, a Master's degree in History of Art from The Courtauld Institute of Art, and a BA in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College, complemented by a certificate in Art History from the University of Cambridge.
