Howard Passey

Howard Passey is an experienced professional in fire safety and engineering, currently serving as a Senior Technical Consultant and Deputy Managing Director at The Fire Protection Association since January 2016. With a background in land surveying and eight years in the construction industry, Howard progressed from engineer to site manager before joining the Fire Protection Association in April 1992 as a Training/Information Officer. Additionally, Howard has held significant roles such as Director at BAFE Fire Safety Register since June 2023 and previously served as Commercial Director, Chairman of the Training Commission, Education & Training Director, and Training Manager at the Fire Protection Association from 2000 to 2015. Howard is actively involved in harmonizing fire and safety training programs across Europe, contributing to the awarding of European Diplomas and National certifications. Academic credentials include a BEng(Hons) in Fire Engineering from London South Bank University, completed in 2001.
