A/Prof Jess Nithianantharajah

A/Prof Jess Nithianantharajah currently serves as the Head of the Florey Department of Neuroscience and Mental Health at the University of Melbourne since February 2024. Jess has held multiple significant roles at The Florey since January 2015, including Mental Health Mission Research Lead, One in Five Foundation McIver Research Fellow, Head of the Synapse Biology & Cognition Research Laboratory, and Mental Health Theme Lead. Additionally, Jess has been the VP of Translational Biology at Phrenix Therapeutics since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as an Australian Research Council Future Fellow and Research Laboratory Head at the University of Melbourne from 2015 to 2020.
