Maritza Rosario is the Co Executive Director and Director of Human Resources and DEI at The Food Project, overseeing regional operations since May 2019. Prior to this role, Maritza served as Shelter Program Manager at Women's Lunch Place and worked at Jacobs Engineering Group as a Construction/School Choice Enhancement Project Facilitator. Additional experience includes Employment Program Manager at Caritas of Austin and Volunteer Specialist/Development Resource Manager at Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas. Maritza co-founded and acted as Executive Director at Chicago School Associates, where a Youth Development Program was initiated with a $5 million annual budget. Work at KaBOOM! included managing community-built playground projects nationwide, while earlier experience involved directing youth and HIV/AIDS education programs at Casa Iris. Maritza holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Cambridge College and a Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion from Cornell University, complemented by a degree in Public Administration from St. Edward's University.
