Ginny Carlson has a diverse range of professional experience in various organizations. Currently serving as Planning Commissioner for the City of St. Helens, also as an Advisory Board member for Habitat for Humanity of Oregon and a Board Member for Community Action Team Incorporated. Additionally, Ginny works as a Direct Support Activity Specialist at lifempowered and serves as a Community Ambassador for The Ford Family Foundation. With a background in finance and administration, Ginny has also held positions such as General Secretary, Business Partner, Financial Assistant, and Executive Administrative Assistant. Throughout their career, Ginny has demonstrated a strong commitment to community involvement and advocacy.

As a place-based funder in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, California, The Ford Family Foundation focuses its grant making, scholarship programs and community building support on its mission of “successful citizens and vital rural communities.” We are proudly located in the Umpqua Valley, the heart of Douglas County, Oregon. A Scholarship Office in Eugene provides individualized student supports for the Foundation’s scholarship recipients.
