Kara Inae Carlisle is currently the President & CEO of The Ford Family Foundation. Kara Inae previously held the position of Vice President of Programs at McKnight Foundation and Director of New Mexico Programs at W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Prior to that, Kara Inae was the Associate Director at Zócalo Public Square, President of L.A. City Human Relations Commission, and Director of 4.29 Center and Director of Community Relations at Korean American Coalition - Los Angeles. With a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, a Master of Divinity from Claremont School of Theology, and a Bachelor of Arts from Anderson University, Kara has a strong background in management, strategy, community engagement, and program administration.

As a place-based funder in rural Oregon and Siskiyou County, California, The Ford Family Foundation focuses its grant making, scholarship programs and community building support on its mission of “successful citizens and vital rural communities.” We are proudly located in the Umpqua Valley, the heart of Douglas County, Oregon. A Scholarship Office in Eugene provides individualized student supports for the Foundation’s scholarship recipients.
