Derek May is an experienced manager in community health philanthropy, currently serving at The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital since February 2022. Prior roles include Senior Director of Philanthropy and Director of Philanthropy at St. Louis Area Foodbank, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive fundraising strategies and donor engagement. Previous experience includes positions at Operation Food Search, where Derek developed brand awareness and relationships with donors, as well as roles in healthcare admissions and public relations. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations from Southeast Missouri State University.
