Ellie Horner

Ellie Horner is an experienced education operations manager at The Francis Crick Institute since March 2020, having previously served as a science education officer. Prior roles include an education assistant at Catalyst Science Discovery Centre and a consent champion at The University of Sheffield, where Ellie developed and delivered sessions on consent for first-year students. Earlier experience encompasses internships as a school visit intern at The University of Sheffield, a summer research intern at Fera Science Ltd. focusing on virus transmission in plants, and a summer research intern at Rothamsted Research studying the impact of phenolic acids on pathogenic fungi. Ellie holds a Master's degree in Biology from The University of Sheffield and A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology from Urmston Grammar School.
