Elbert Black, CPA, MBA, has extensive experience in accounting and finance, currently serving as Controller and Assistant Director of Accounting at The Franklin Institute since January 2013. Key responsibilities include directing staff, overseeing internal financial statement reviews, grant accounting, revenue accounting, and managing payroll and cash relationships. Prior to this role, Elbert held positions at Pep Boys as Internal Audit Supervisor and Senior Internal Auditor, with a strong focus on Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and operational audits. Previous experience includes senior financial roles at The Franklin Mint and Armstrong World Industries, along with a solid educational foundation with an MBA in Management from Eastern University and a B.A. in Accounting from Lincoln University.
