The Franklin Institute
Mark Harmon has a diverse work experience in the field of operations, security, and safety. Mark started their career at Contemporary Services Corporation as a Lead Supervisor at Veterans Stadium from 1995 to 2000. Mark then joined AlliedBarton Security Services as an Account Manager in 1987 and worked there until 2005. During their time at AlliedBarton, they began as a part-time event staff employee and later managed security officers at various locations such as events, hospitals, movie theaters, and banks. Since 2005, Mark has been associated with The Franklin Institute, where they held multiple roles including Director of Security & Safety and Director of Facility Operations. Their most recent position at The Franklin Institute is Vice President of Operations, which they have held since February 2022.
Mark Harmon completed their education in a chronological order. Firstly, they attended Marple Newtown Senior High School from 1983 to 1987 and obtained a High School Diploma. During this time, their field of study was focused on a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. Subsequently, in 1987, they enrolled at Delaware County Community College for two years until 1989, earning an Associates degree in Admin. of Justice. Finally, from 1990 to 1992, Mark Harmon pursued higher education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.

Founded in honor of Benjamin Franklin, The Franklin Institute is a museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the United States.
