Brent Russett

Brent Russett serves as a Pastor for The Free Methodist Church in Canada since September 2018 and has held a similar role at The Wesleyan Church since 1985. Brent also contributes to the Board of Directors for the Wesleyan Church of Canada and has experience as a Radio Broadcaster for Good News in the Morning from 2012 to 2018. Brent was a member of the Houghton College Board of Trustees from 1998 until September 2018 and served on the District Board of Ministerial Development for the Central Canada District from 1995 to September 2018. As the Senior Pastor at Sunnyside Wesleyan Church from September 1990 to September 2018, Brent led a congregation of approximately 350 members. Additional involvement includes being a team member of the Servant Leadership Team - Mission Ottawa from 1998 to 2008, focusing on church collaboration and community transformation. Educationally, Brent earned a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation from Northeastern Seminary, a Certificate of Graduation in Leadership from Arrow Leadership, and a Bachelor of Theology from North American Baptist Divinity School.
