Brian Johnson

Brian Johnson is the current Chief Operating Officer at The Fresh Market. Prior to their current position, Brian worked for the Brookshire Grocery Company from May 2014 to July 2020 as the Division Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for the guest shopping experience and financial results for the Brookshire Banner, which includes 107 stores and over 8000 associates in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Brian is known to be results-oriented as well as process-driven. Brian believes in formulating strategy, developing efficient processes, thoroughly communicating expectations, measuring results and holding others as well as himself accountable. Brian also believes in creating a culture that is conducive to outstanding customer service as well as employee professional development. As a member of the senior leadership team, their experience includes strategy formulation and implementation, remodel and new store development, acquisitions, supply chain management, leadership/team development and financial planning/budgeting.

Brian Johnson has a BBA from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business in Management and Information Systems. Brian also has an MBA from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Certificate in Leadership and Organizational Development. Brian also has certification from Cornell University in the Cornell Food Industry Executive Program and from The University of Texas at Tyler in Certificate in Organizational Development and Leadership.
