Venita D. has extensive work experience, primarily with The FruitGuys. Venita started at The FruitGuys in 2011 as the Southwest Division Operations Manager, where they managed staff, organized work schedules, and trained employees. Venita then held various roles within the company, including Operations Project Specialist, Operations Manager of Auxiliary Locations, Director of Fulfillment, and Recruiting and Talent Management. In these roles, they oversaw multiple facilities, developed key relationships with vendors and clients, and implemented successful expansion projects. Venita also played a crucial role in recruiting efforts, reducing hire time, and improving the quality and diversity of candidates. Currently, they are the Head of Operations and People Success at The FruitGuys. Additionally, Venita has experience as a Sales Associate at Food Services of America, a Catering Chef at Westwind Stewardship Group, and a Health & Safety Supervisor at Northwest Regional Education Service District - Outdoor Science School. Venita also worked as a Stewarding Department Supervisor at the Institute of Culinary Education, where they trained and mentored culinary assistants and managed supply inventory.

Venita D. has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Social Sciences, Arts & Letters, which was obtained from Portland State University. Following that, they pursued a Certificate in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education, which they completed in 2006. In 2016, they enrolled in the Professional Coaching for Life and Work Certificate Program at the University of California, Davis. Venita D. has also obtained additional certifications, including the Strategic Healthcare Alliance: Digital Therapeutics for Mental Health in October 2021 and the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) from HRCI in May 2021.
