Camberley Bates

Camberley Bates has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over four decades. Their most recent role is as the VP and Practice Lead at The Futurum Group, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to that, Camberley was the Managing Director & Analyst at Evaluator Group, which later became a part of The Futurum Group. During their time at Evaluator Group, they provided expert consulting and research to help IT executives make informed information management decisions.

Before joining Evaluator Group, Camberley served as the President and Principal at Bates Strategy Group from 2004 to 2009. Here, they focused on finding and capitalizing on new marketing opportunities for technology firms, aligning technology with sales and marketing strategies.

From 2001 to 2004, Camberley was the VP of Marketing & Business Development at COPAN Systems. Camberley played a vital role in establishing the company as a major player in the Data Archive industry, working with prominent organizations such as Yahoo!, Credit Suisse, NASDAQ, and NASA.

During their tenure at VERITAS Software from 1999 to 2001, Camberley held the position of VP Field, Channel & Alliance Marketing. Camberley was responsible for managing a worldwide team engaged in direct sales, channel programs, and alliances with various industry-leading companies.

Camberley's career also includes notable positions at GE Access, Customer Insight Corporation, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Gateway Technical Services, and IBM. At GE Access, they served as the VP of Enterprise Solutions and played a pivotal role in growing the division's revenue. Camberley later held the position of Director of Sales - Worldwide Channels at Customer Insight Corporation.
