Bhikhu Parekh

Bhikhu Parekh is Emeritus Professor at the University of Hull. He has been a visiting Professor at Harvard, McGill, and Pennsylvania universities ans was Vice Chancellor of the University of Baroda, India in the 1980s. He is the author of a number of books on Gandhi, including Gandhi (Oxford University Press), and Rethinking Multiculturalism (Harvard University Press). He received the Sir Isaiah Berlin Prize for lifetime contribution to political philosophy, the BBC’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Padmabushan from the President of India, and over fifteen honorary doctorates.
