Maureen Ryan has extensive experience in financial and operational leadership roles. Maureen is currently serving as the Chief Financial and Operating Officer at The Gateway School since 2017. Prior to that, Maureen held various positions at EdisonLearning, including Chief Financial Officer, SVP of Budget and Operations, SVP of Planning and Analysis, VP of Financial Planning and Analysis, Director of Finance - Business Development and Operations Support, and Analyst of Finance - Business Development and Operations Support. Maureen'sresponsibilities at EdisonLearning involved executing annual budgets, revamping processes, tracking progress against strategic initiatives, and restructuring divisions to improve financial controls and service delivery. Before joining EdisonLearning, Maureen worked as a Municipal Financial Analyst at the Office of the State Deputy Comptroller and as an Economic Analyst at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In these roles, they analyzed budgets, projected fiscal outcomes, and provided recommendations for economic planning and infrastructure projects.
Maureen Ryan holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science at California State University, Northridge. In September 2016, Maureen also obtained certification as a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) from FMA (Fiscal Management Associates, LLC).
