The Gathering Church
Jordan Headley is an experienced leader in ministry and community development, currently serving as the Executive Pastor of Ministries at The Gathering Church since November 2021. Previously, Jordan founded and led Hope Valley Church as CEO/Founder/Lead Pastor from August 2019 to April 2021, where efforts included team recruitment and organizational growth. Between July 2015 and July 2019, Jordan held the position of Community Pastor at Cross Point Community Church, focusing on staff development and budget management. Earlier roles include Full Service Supervisor at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, Kids Pastor at Bay Community Church, and Sports and Aquatics Director at the YMCA of South Alabama. Jordan earned a Bachelor of Science in Theology/Theological Studies from the University of Mobile between 2005 and 2013, following an Advanced Diploma from Jackson Academy.

What we want to be about: We seek to experience, share, and teach the extravagant grace of God which transforms the lives of our members, our friends, and all who seek Him. We strive to love people incredibly well, as Jesus did, by accepting each other as we are, by serving people at their point of need, and by creating a safe environment where hospitality, love, and belonging are available to all. We encounter God through passionate worship, through cultural relevance and engagement, through service to the local community and the larger world, and through accepting and sharing God’s ongoing mercy and forgiveness. We will focus on demonstrating and sharing the message of grace with those who feel far from God and with those whose longings for God have not been satisfied through common religious experience.
