The Gathering Place
Mary Manolis Robertson has a diverse background in volunteer work and natural health services. Currently serving as a volunteer at The Gathering Place since January 2018, Mary has also contributed to the organization in a previous volunteer capacity from March 2011 to September 2013. Between 2013 and January 2018, Mary worked as a Natural Health Services Facilitator at Shakti Whole Health Studio. Additional volunteer experience includes time at the City of Aurora CO Xeriscape Demonstration Garden from 2011 to 2012. Mary holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising and Communication Arts from Michigan State University, where study occurred from 1966 to 1970.
The Gathering Place
The Gathering Place (TGP) offers services to combat poverty and address the impacts of marginalization and oppression that are often contributing factors to poverty or homelessness. By offering low-barrier access to a broad range of basic necessities and wrap-around care options, TGP guides women, transgender folx and children living in poverty from a place of crisis and instability to one of stability and security. MISSION We are a community of safety and hope where positive relationships, choice, and essential resources transform lives. GUIDING PRINCIPLES We serve women, children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing poverty or homelessness. We believe in hope as an important change agent and hold that hope for everyone. We believe deeply in the power of community and continue working to develop it.
