Research Analyst at The Gene Box

Sohni Tagore has worked in various roles since 2016. In 2016, they were a Research Trainee at MGM New Bombay Hospital Vashi. In 2017, they were an Intern at Pine Biotech. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Research Student at University of Glasgow, where they worked on a thesis analyzing RNAseq data from Glioblastoma Stem Cells to identify potential therapeutic targets. Sohni also worked with softwares such as DAVID, Cytoscape, Panther, and KEGG. In 2020, they were a Research Assistant at University of Antwerp, where they were the project lead on 'Expansion of diagnostic yield of genetic testing for congenital hearing loss'. Sohni worked on Haloplex Gene panel for hearing loss, and WES data analysis. Currently, they are a Research Analyst at The Gene Box, where they are the product development lead for Epigenetics.

Sohni Tagore's education history includes a MSc (Med Sci) in Medical Genetics and Genomics from the University of Glasgow (2018-2019), a B.Tech Biotechnology from D Y Patil University School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (2013-2017), a PG Diploma in Psychological counselling from the Indian Institute of Counselling (2016-2017), and class 3 to class 12 from Bal bharati public school (2003-2013). Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, such as NGS data analysis and Linux Basics from GeneSpectrum Life Sciences in April 2022, Autism Spectrum Disorder from Coursera in January 2020, STEM Ambassador from STEM Learning UK in October 2018, and Epidemiology: The Basic Science of Public Health from Coursera in December 2015.
