Alec Flett

Alec Flett has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Alec is currently working as a Principal Engineer at The General Partnership, where they help startups build their engineering organizations and products. Prior to that, they worked as a Founding Engineer at UrbanFootprint, where they were responsible for the technical leadership and development of the core planning application. Alec also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, focusing on frontend development for a market research survey product. Alec also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Metaweb Technologies, Inc., where they were involved in the design and development of Python-based application servers. Alec has also worked at Open Source Applications Foundation, Macromedia, Inc., and Netscape Communications in various software engineering roles.

Alec Flett earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math/Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University in 1997. In 2004, they pursued a Teaching Credential in High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates at San Francisco State University, but did not complete the program.
