Amanda Schleifer

Amanda Schleifer is a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Section Chief of Speech-Language Pathology at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since August 2014, Amanda has also held multiple PRN positions at prestigious institutions, including MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, The George Washington University Hospital, and MedStar Washington Hospital Center since 2016. Amanda began a career in speech-language pathology with a trainee position at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and served as a graduate clinician at the University of South Florida Speech and Hearing Clinic. Amanda earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a focus on Interdisciplinary Disability Studies from the University of Maine.
