Ellen Hyslop has a diverse work experience starting with their role as Co-Founder and Head of Content at The GIST, a fan-first sports media brand that focuses on providing equal coverage to women's and men's sports. Ellen joined The GIST in June 2018 and continues to contribute in this role. Prior to that, Ellen worked at Chubb Insurance as an Underwriter for Personal Risk Services from February 2015 to April 2018. Before their underwriting role, they were a Professional Underwriting Associate in the same department from July 2014 to February 2015. Ellen also worked as a Partnerships Coordinator at Smith School of Business at Queen's University from January 2014 to April 2014. In 2013, they interned at Chubb as a Personal Risk Services Intern from May to August. In 2012, Ellen served as a Teaching Assistant for the Comm 132 Marketing Course at Smith School of Business and also worked as a Marketing Intern at Burlington Economic Development from May to August. Ellen'sfirst work experience was at Tourism Burlington where they worked as a Summer Travel Counsellor from June to August 2011.
Ellen Hyslop began their education at Waterdown District High School, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. After completing their high school education, they enrolled at Queen's University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing. Ellen attended Queen's University from 2010 to 2014. In 2013, Ellen took part in an exchange program at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) from January to May.
