Theresa Sweeney

Theresa Sweeney has an extensive background in engineering and solar energy. Theresa currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at GivePower, where they have been since December 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Engineering Manager at GivePower and Sun Tribe Solar. Theresa also gained experience as an Engineer & Design Manager at GivePower. Before joining Sun Tribe Solar, Theresa worked as a Project Engineer at the same company, starting in February 2017. Before their time at Sun Tribe Solar, they worked at juwi Inc. as a Design Engineer and Operation Center Specialist. Theresa started their career as a Solar Panel Installer at Bella Energy in 2013. Theresa also gained experience as an Engineering/Science Intern at Energetics and held the role of Administrative Assistant at Virginia Tech University Design and Construction. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineering Intern at Gutschick Little & Weber.

Theresa Sweeney attended Virginia Tech from 2007 to 2011 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
